Moving up the Management Ladder by Degree
In criminal justice, an associate’s degree will open the door for a job in the corrections field and with many police agencies will qualify you for the Police Academy. Moving up the ranks, adding stripes to the uniform and bars to the shoulders will likely require a bachelor’s or more. Rightfully so, as management of law enforcement resources is a complex and often pressure packed profession.
Do a little reading on the curriculum provided for the bachelor’s and master’s degrees in this field. You’ll be surprised at the areas of study that are included.
