There is no national accreditation program for interior design schools. There are two or three national trade organizations that engage in providing approval for interior design education programs. The National Association of Schools of Art and Design accredits schools; so does the Foundation for Interior Design Education Research. Most of these schools provide degrees in interior design. THE NCIDQ has no requirements regarding school accreditation: their education requirements relate solely to the relevance of the courses taken and passed.
