For years, the traditional path to a management role has been the MBA. That need not be the case today. There are many programs available through distance learning programs, the campuses associated with them, and even traditional schools that provide management oriented curricula for bachelors’ programs. If there is a field that you would like to seek a career, there may well be an undergraduate management program oriented to that field.
There are also a host of MBA programs that are designed to specialize in management of various business sectors. With the specialization in business today, there are critical management roles in the corporate sector that didn’t exist twenty years ago. Specialized professions such as logistics and production efficiency management are the result of the increased need for speed to market and the accelerated pace of product development.
